Thank you for visiting the non-profit Riverplace Assistance Corporation based in Pikeville, Ky., first formed to help residents of Riverplace residential drug addiction treatment center as they moved to outpatient treatment and a rightful place in society.
With the outbreak of the novel coronavirus pandemic and the shutdown of schools and many workplaces, we soon saw that there were equally urgent food, housing, and day-to-day needs locally that RAC could help meet right away. We quickly shepherded our resources and spread word throughout Pike, Floyd, and neighboring counties that RAC was there for our neighbors during a crisis, in any way possible, no questions asked.
Today, with a broader mission of providing basic food, housing, job training, and career opportunities, the RAC is proud to work with many schools, churches, emergency shelters, health providers, and educational institutions to enrich the lives of Eastern Kentuckians. For example:
We hope you will consider making a tax-deductible contribution of money or food to RAC’s charitable foundation so that we may continue these important efforts!
Our goal is to assist rehab patients and their transition to having their own home. Our transitional housing is step towards assisting in that goal.
